DHAKA: A three-day CSE Festival was inaugurated at State University of Bangladesh (SUB) at its Dhanmondi campus in the city on Saturday morning.   

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of the university organized the fest scheduled for 28–30 September.

Nazrul Islam Khan, Secretary for Ministry of Information & Communication Technology graced the inauguration ceremony.

Dr AM Shamim, President, Board of Trustees of State University of Bangladesh, will attend the closing session as the Chief Guest on September 30.

Professor AAKM Lutfuzzaman, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering, delivered the welcome speech with Professor Iftekhar Ghani Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor in the chair.

A seminar on ‘Prospects of ICT Education in Bangladesh & IT Engineers Examination (ITEE)’ was held after the inauguration.

Nazrul Islam Khan; Hideo HOYA, Chief Advisor BDITEC project (JICA  Expert); Dr Sk Amzad Hossain, Project Director, BDITEC Project; Professor Dr Hasanuzzaman, Advisor, Department of CSE, SUB and Dr Bilkis Jamal Ferdosi, Head, Department of CSE, SUB were among others discussants at the seminar.
