JU: Jahangirnagar University (JU) Registrar Abu Babar Siddique and Deputy Registrar Abu Hasnat are still confined in academic building.

‘Sadharan Sikkhokh Forum’, a platform of Awami League and BNP backed teachers confined them from Monday noon protesting discharge Law faculty Dean Sheikh Monzurul Haque.

On the other hand, the forum will announce a fresh agitation programme on Tuesday against incumbent vice-chancellor Anwar Hossain.

JU Vice-chancellor Anwar Hossain said registrars are not liable to discharge any teacher. Agitating teachers are disrupting academic activities of the varsity in the name of movement.
