Singer Mainul Ahsan Noble has been arrested by the Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police on charge of cheating by taking an advance of Tk 1,72,000 without going to an event.

A DB official confirmed the matter on Saturday (May 20). 

Earlier on May 16, a fraud case was lodged against Noble with the Motijheel Police Station.

According to the case statement, Noble was supposed to perform at an event. Later, he took money for the show but he did not perform.
