‘47 Ronin’ hits Star Cineplex

DHAKA: Star Cineplex arranged the Dhaka premiere of Hollywood blockbuster ‘42 Ronin’ at its hall in Bashundhara City Shopping Mall on Panthapath.

The screening of this action, adventure and fantasy movie was held Thursday evening.

It will be screened at 11:10am, 1:40pm, 4:10pm and 7:00pm from Friday onwards.

‘47 Ronin’ is a 2013 American film that depicts a fictional account of the forty-seven Ronin, a real-life group of Ronins (master-less samurai) in 18th-century Japan who avenged the murder of their master.

Stories, plays and other dramatic performances of the 47 Ronin story are commonly referred to as Chūshingura in Japan.

Produced by Universal Studios, the film is directed by Carl Rinsch and stars Keanu Reeves.

Filming started in Budapest in March 2011; it moved to Shepperton Studios in London and was concluded in Japan, says Wikipedia.

Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Star Cineplex’s Sr. Manager (Media, Marketing Division) told banglanews24.com that moviegoers of Bangladesh will get an opportunity to see a movie performed by Keanu Reeves on big screen.

He also hoped that the ‘47 Ronin’ will attract the audience in large number.
