DHAKA: Artist Shahid Kabir’s solo exhibition ‘I Bow My Head To You In Deep Obeisance’ will begin at Bengal Shilpalaya in city’s Dhanmondi area.

Cultural affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor will inaugurate the exhibition as chief guest at 6:00pm on Wednesday.

Spanish ambassador to Dhaka Luis Tejada Chacon and Prothom Alo editor Matiur Rahman will be present as special guests at the ceremony to be chaired by Bengal Foundation chairman Abul Khair.

A total of 53 artworks will be on display that will remain open from 12:00pm to 8:00pm till April 1.

Born in 1949 in Barisal, Shahid Kabir had his honors degree from the then Government Collage of Arts and Crafts, at present the fine arts faculty of Dhaka University.

Kabir earned national awards from Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in 1975 and 1976. He also earned several awards including ‘Carmen Arozamina’ from Spain.
