Three people died of dengue infection in the country in the last 24 hours.

At the same time, 21 were hospitalised. As of now, 32 people have lost their lives after being infected with the mosquito-borne disease this year.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) came up with the disclosure in its regular bulletin on dengue today.

Last year, a total of 1,705 people lost their lives due to dengue, making it the deadliest year on record.

The DGHS recorded 321,179 dengue cases and 3, 18,749 recoveries last year.
