Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Sunday (Dec 15) said no deaths from dengue were reported in the last 24 hours.

DGHS in a press release said 373 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country.

During the period, 124 Dengue patients were hospitalized in Dhaka city, while 249 were admitted to different hospitals outside the capital, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

This year, the total number of cases rose to 98,877 while 548 deaths from dengue disease were reported during the period, the statement added.

In the past 24 hours, 483 dengue patients were discharged from different hospitals. Among the total cases, 96,662 patients have already been released, the DGHS statement added.

Last year, the country recorded 1,705 dengue-related deaths and a total of 3,21,179 dengue cases.
