RAJSHAHI:  Jamaat Ameer Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami, Secretary-General Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojahid and Nayab-e Ameer Delwar Hossain Sayedee will be brought in Rajshahi any day of the week for quizzing in the case of Rajshahi University student Faruque Hossain killing.

“A special cell is already prepared for them in Rajshahi Jail,” Senior Jail Super of Rajshahi Central Jail Partha Gopal said.   

The three Jamaat leaders were Wednesday shown arrested by Rajshahi Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court in the case.

The court also fixed August 26 for hearing on the case.

The case was filed with Motihar Thana after Chhatra League activist Faruque Hossain was killed amid Shibir attacks at Rajshahi University on February 8.

Rajshahi Court Inspector Debendra Nath Das said, “Production Warrant was sent to Dhaka Central Jail on Wednesday noon to take the top three leaders of Jamaat to Rajshahi Jail.”

Motihar Thana SI Sohel Rana, the IO of the case, reached Dhaka to receive the accused.
