At least five people died and 25 were injured after being electrocuted during Ratha Yatra in Bogura town on Sunday (July 7) afternoon.

The incident took place in the Seujgari Amtoli area around 5:15pm.

The deceased have been identified as Alok, Atoshi, Naresh, Ranjeeta and a woman died in the hospital, her identity is not known.

Bogura Superintendent of Police Sudeep Kumar Chakraborty confirming the matter said the injured are receiving treatment at the hospital.
