At least 45 people were killed and many injured as clashes took place in different areas in Dhaka and other parts of Bangladesh on the first day of the non-cooperation movement announced by the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement.

The loss of life and damage took place during the confrontation on Sunday (August 4) until 2:00 p.m.

According to Banglanews correspondents, 7 people were killed in Sirajganj, 6 in Feni, 6 in Narsingdi, 4 in Laxmipur, 4 in Magura, 3 in Dhaka, 3 in Pabna, 2 in Munshiganj, 2 in Bogra, three in Rangpur, 2 in Sylhet and one each in Barisal, Cumilla and Kishoreganj.

Rejecting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s call for talks to resolve the ongoing stalemate, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement announced an all-out non-cooperation movement starting on Sunday, demanding the government's resignation.

Since the morning, protesters have clashed with police and ruling party supporters in Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, and various parts of the country, resulting in the deaths of at least 45 people.
