Khaled Hasan, the central coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and a student of Dhaka University’s Arabic Department, returned to his dormitory on Tuesday night after being missing for four days.
Abdul Quader, another coordinator of the movement, said that Khaled’s mental and physical condition is fragile.
"He is too afraid to talk to anyone," Quader said on Wednesday.
Khaled has since been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for medical treatment.
Recounting Khaled’s ordeal, Quader shared details gathered from conversations with him. “On Friday afternoon, while traveling by rickshaw from TSC to Doel Chattar, Khaled lost consciousness for reasons unknown. When he regained consciousness, he was in a microbus near a petrol pump in Sunamganj with two or three individuals. Shortly after, he fainted again,” Quader explained.
Khaled’s next memory was waking up in Panchagarh inside the same vehicle. He later found himself abandoned on a roadside in Barisal. A passerby eventually assisted him in returning to Dhaka.
Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) of DMP's Media and Public Relations Department Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the matter.
