Bangladesh Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus urged students today to think beyond the ordinary and strive to make a difference in the world.

During a speech at Peking University (PKU) in Beijing, he emphasized that a university is not just a place for learning about past events, but a space to envision the future.

"Imagination is the most powerful force on Earth," Prof. Yunus said, adding, "If you can imagine it, it can become a reality. If you don’t imagine, it will never happen."

Reflecting on history, he encouraged students to realize that everything significant begins with someone’s imagination.

"Imagination is more powerful than anything we can combine," he stated.

Prof. Yunus urged students to dare to imagine the most extraordinary and seemingly impossible ideas. "Human progress is built on turning the impossible into possible. That’s our mission, and we have the power to make it happen," he declared.

The occasion also marked Prof. Yunus being awarded an honorary doctorate degree by Peking University.

He Guangcai, Chair of the Peking University Council, and President Gong Qihuang also delivered speeches during the event.
