All preparations for the main Eid-ul Fitr jamaat (congregations) at the National Eidgah Maidan have been completed, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator Md. Shahjahan Mia has announced.

Speaking at a press briefing at the National Eidgah Maidan on Saturday (March 29), he said that prayer spaces have been arranged for approximately 35,000 worshippers, including the President, cabinet members, diplomats, and people from all walks of life.

Calling on Dhaka residents to join the congregation, the DSCC administrator assured that all arrangements have been finalized to ensure a comfortable and secure prayer experience.

He extended Eid greetings in advance and prayed for the acceptance of everyone’s prayers.

Special security measures have been put in place to ensure the safety and smooth management of worshippers. 

Police, RAB, and other law enforcement agencies will remain on duty around the clock. 

Additionally, necessary facilities for ablution and toilets have been arranged, while medical teams and ambulances will be on standby for any emergencies.

In case of rain or adverse weather, a second Eid congregation has been scheduled for 9:00 am at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
