Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus departed Beijing today, concluding his four-day official visit to China.

A commercial Air China flight carrying Prof Yunus and his delegation took off from Beijing Capital International Airport at 16:57 local time. 

Hong Lei, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chief Protocol Officer to Chinese President Xi Jinping, bid him farewell at the airport.

During his visit, Prof Yunus attended the Boao Forum for Asia on March 27 and held bilateral talks with President Xi Jinping on March 28. 

He also participated in three roundtable discussions on infrastructure, manufacturing, and social business.

On March 29, Peking University honored him with an honorary doctorate degree, marking the final highlight of his trip.
