2 youths killed as car hits motorcycle on Kalshi flyover

Two young men were killed in a head-on collision between their motorcycle and a private car on the Kalshi flyover in Mirpur, Dhaka, on Friday evening. 

The incident, which occurred around 9:45 pm, resulted in the motorcycle rider falling off the flyover, while his companion was thrown onto the flyover.

The victims, estimated to be between 18 and 19 years old, were rescued by pedestrians and rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where doctors declared them dead around 11 pm.

Pallabi Police Station's Inspector of Investigation, Abul Qayyum, confirmed the matter.

According to him, they are working to identify the victims and gather further details. According to witness Rocky, one of the victims fell under the flyover while the other was thrown onto it after the crash.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Camp Sub-Inspector, Md. Masud Alam, confirmed the youths' deaths, saying that they were brought to the hospital in critical condition and were pronounced dead shortly thereafter. 

Their bodies were sent to the morgue for an autopsy, he also said.
