DHAKA: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) appointed Kazuhiko Higuchi as the new Country Director for Bangladesh.
A press release made the disclosure in a press release on Thursday.
He will replace Teresa Kho, who was appointed to New Delhi as the head of its mission there.
Japanese national Higuchi joined the ADB in 1988 and worked as ADB Country Director in Uzbekistan and Kazakhsthan.
Besides, he worked in Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Higuchi will join in his new work place on April 22.
Higuchi said, “Bangladesh is progressing fast and ADB will continue to make every effort to support Bangladesh’s endeavor toward exploiting its fullest potential.”
