DHAKA: A five-member search team was formed to rescue Abu Bakar Siddique, husband of Bangladesh Environment Lawyers Association (Bela) Chief Executive Syeda Rizwana Hasan.

Police sources said Sheikh Mohammad Maruf, Additional Commissioner (ADC) of Police Headquarters, wad made chief to lead the team.

Primary task of the team will be to provide all possible helps to the investigation officers, sources added.

A group of miscreants abducted Abu Bakar Siddique in front of the Bhuiyan Filling Station in Fatulla area of Narayanganj district on Wednesday.

Rizwana filed a case with Fatulla Model Thana in this connection.
