HABIGANJ: Police on Friday night arrested two local Jubo Dal leaders from Lakhai upazila on charge of looting and vandalizing an iftar party.

Arrested Abdul Mannan, Sadar upazila Jubo Dal convener, and Kumed Ali, joint-convener, were taken into Sadar thana.

Police said a gang of terrorists, led by the two Jubo Dal leaders, attacked the iftar mahfil of Habiganj Maxi Owners Association on August 23. They also vandalized the office and looted cash money.

Later, association president Hazi Abul Hossain filed a case with Habiganj Sadar Thana under the Speedy Trial Act.
