SATKHIRA: Police detained 25 people including five activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir conducting drives in Satkhira district.
The drives were conducted from Friday night to Saturday morning.
Satkhira district police special branch sub-inspector (SI) Imanul Haque said that among the arrestees five were Jamaat-Shibir activists.
They were arrested in allegation of planning subversive activities in the district, the SI added.
