DHAKA: Opposition Leader and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia Sunday sent greetings to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, in an exchange of niceties between the two inveterate political rivals.

Khaleda Zia’s APS M Suratuzzaman went to the Prime Minister’s Office at about 11am and handed over her Eid card to the Protocol Officers of the PM.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Hasina sent Eid greetings to the opposition leader and ex-PM last Friday.

Earlier, Hasina was invited to BNP’s iftar party while Khaleda to Awami League’s. However, neither did turn up at either party.
