DHAKA: Voting of Madhabdi municipality in Narsindi district will be held on January 12.

It was postponed earlier on December 30.

Besides, the Election Commission (EC) will arrange vote in 39 centers in different upazilas that was suspended on the same day.

EC election management wing assistant secretary Rajib Ahsan informed the matter to the media on Wednesday.

He said, voting in 39 centers in different upazilas will be held on January 12 as it was suspended on December 30 on different allegations.

Earlier, one hour before the voting ended, the EC cancelled the election in Madhabdi municipality on allegation of irregularities.

Voting in 234 municipalities across the country was held on December 30 amid sporadic incidents.
