No rule of law in country, claims Khaleda

DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia claimed that the country now lacks democracy and rule of law at present.

 

‘Moreover, the ruling party has not only snatched people’s voting rights but also their properties,’ she added.

 

The BNP chairperson made this assertion while addressing a national conference of Islami Oikyajote held at Engineers Institution auditorium in city on Thursday (march 31).

‘There is no democracy in the country, no government of people. Chaotic situation has been prevailing in every sector.’

The BNP chief further said, ‘The national economy has been destroyed. The share market and banks have been looted. No one is secured in the country’.

According to her, people want to get relief from the suffocating situation and to get normal situation back.
