DHAKA: Six members of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir have been detained from Bhola and Gaibadha districts on Thursday (June 30).

Bhola Detective Branch (DB) police detained four Shibir men for militant activities and sabotage from Western Para of the town around 6:00am.

DB inspector Aktaruzzaman told banglanews that acting on tip-off, the law enforcers conducted the drive and detained them along with jihadist books.

Gaibandha district police control room official Asaduzzaman Asad said they arrested two Jamaat men among six people from Sundarganj upazila of the district around 8:00am.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Farukh Hossain told banglanews that the arrestees will be sent to jail this day.
