4 Ansarullah men remanded in Ctg

CHITTAGONG: A district court on Tuesday (July 12) remanded four Ansarullah Bangla Team men for five days in a case under Anti-terrorism Act.

The court of Additional Chief Judge ASM Shahidullah Kaisar passed the order around 2:00pm, in response to a 10-day remand appeal by police.

The accused are M Sipon alias Faisal, 25, Khursed Alam, 31, Rasel M Islam, 41, and Musa Ibne Umayer, 25.

Chittagong court police inspector M Mashiur Rahman told banglanews that they arrested the four members of the banned outfit on Saturday (July 9) after a daylong drives in Sitakunda upazila.

The law enforcers also recovered eight machetes, six mobile phone sets, a laptop, a tap and some jihadist books.
