DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, is set to visit Chittagong on Thursday.

PM’s office sources said that the premier would arrive ‘Naval Birth Chittagong’ to join a commissioning program of ‘Maritime Petrol Air Craft’ at about 11:00am.

Later, she will join National award giving programme of Bangladesh Naval Ship (BNS) Durjoy and Nirmul, commissioning of petrol craft and BNS Bangabandhu at around 12:55pm.

Apart form this, after lunch at Naval Academy, Prime Minister will fly for Fatikchhari by helicopter.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also will address a rally at C&B field of Fatikchhari around 2:40pm. Before that Premier will digitally inaugurate 10 developmental works.

The development works include a food godown at Halishahar with 85,000 metric tonne capability, a 7-storey building of Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital, 5-storey building for dental building, New Academic Building of CMC, 50-seat health complex at Chandanaish and Satkania, Trauma center at Lohagara Upazila.

Prime Minister also will lay foundation stones of various projects.
