NARAYANGANJ: Ruling Awami League sponsored candidate Selina Hayat Ivy has won the much-talked-about Narayaganj City Corporation (NCC) mayoral election for the second time on the trot.

As per unofficial results, Ivy secured 174,602 votes while her nearest candidate archrival BNP-backed Shakhawat Hossain Khan got 96,700 votes in the polls on Thursday (December 22).

This was, however, Ivy’s first win as Awami League-backed candidate.

Several private television channels also have been publishing the results.

Returning officer of NCC election Nuruzzaman, however, is yet to announce the official result.
