NARAYANGANJ: Selina Hayat Ivy has dedicated her victory in the Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) polls to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

She made the dedication in presence of her supporters at her own house on Thursday night (December 22) celebrating the landslide wins against BNP candidate Sakhawat Hossain.   

Ivy also thanked her supporters, law enforcers and media men for their significant role in the election.  

Ruling Awami League sponsored candidate Ivy has won the much-talked-about Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) mayoral election.

Ivy secured 175,611 votes defeating opponent Shakhawat by 79,567 votes. Shakhawat got 96,044 votes, according to unofficial results.

This was, however, Ivy’s first win as Awami League-backed candidate.
