DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia has greeted the Christian community of the country ahead of the Christmas to be observed on Sunday (December 25).

Chairperson’s media wing sent a release in this regard on Saturday (December 24).

She congratulated all the Christian people of the world, including Bangladesh, ahead of the Christmas.

She also wished their ceaseless peace and prosperity, the release added.

Khaleda Zia further said like other great men, Jesus Christ also encouraged his followers for good deeds and establishing justice in society. 

“As human being we all should go on working for the welfare of the country, society and people. It is our duty to prevent any kind of injustice and illegal activities in the society so that a lasting peace can be established here.”

The BNP chairperson also wished success of all programs taken to mark the day.

In another message, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also greeted the Christian community of the country.
