DHAKA: Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury sent emails to the MPs and ministers urging to leave their constituencies to prevent party influences on District Council polls.

The speakers issued the email on Tuesday (December 27) following the instruction of election commission issued on Monday (December 26).

On the other hand, the road transport and bridges ministry restricted the vehicle plying near the poll areas from 12:00am to 11:59pm Tuesday.

However, the District Council polls is scheduled to be held in 915 centers under 61 districts on Wednesday (December 27).
