BRAHMANBARIA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-9 personnel in a drive held a Union Parishad chairman with firearms from Hazipur village under Kashba Upazila on Saturday morning.

The detainee is- Jahangir Alam, an ex-chairman of Binauti Union Parihad of the district.

Acting of tip off, the law enforcers nabbed him and recovered revolver, pipe gun, hokey stick, knife, cocktails and chopper.

RAB-9 Bhairab Camp Commander Major Shakib confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The process is underway to file a case in this regard, he added.
