DHAKA: Selina Hayat Ivy took oath as Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) mayor on Thursday.

Ivy was reelected mayor for the second time in the NCC polls held on December 22, 2016.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina administered the oath at Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in the morning.

Later, a total of 27 general councilors and nine women councilors of reserved seats also took oath.

Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain administered the oath to councilors.
