GAZIPUR: Temporarily dismissed mayor of Gazipur City Corporation and vice-chairman of BNP, Professor MA Mannan has been freed from Kashimpur Jail (Part-1) on bail.

Kashimpur Jail (Part-1) super Subrata Kumar Bala told Banglanews that they released the BNP leader around 1:00 pm on Friday (January 6).

He further said they received papers regarding the release of Mannan on Thursday evening. “We released him after verifying those papers.”

Mannan’s lawyer Monju Morshed Prince told Banglanews that Mannan was made accused in 30 cases.

He got bail in all the cases, he added.
