DHAKA: Bangladesh National Party (BNP) is set to stage demonstrations across the country on Sunday (January 8) protesting the government’s restriction on their scheduled processions and rally.
BNP earlier prepared to hold black flag procession on January 5 and rally on January 7 in protest of the January 5 (2013) general elections.
Party’s senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed declared the protest program in a press conference at BNP headquarters in Nayapaltan on Saturday (January 7).
He said the party will arrange protest processions in each upazila of the country.
