SHATKHIRA: Jubo League joint convener of Sadar Upazila was killed in a road accident in Alipur Hatkhula area of the upazila on Monday (January 09).

The deceased was identified as Sheikh Afzal Hossain Maruf, 30.

Satkhira Sadar Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Firoz Hossain Mollah confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Locals said a pickup van hit a motorcycle riding by Afzal in the area on Satkhira-Kaliganj road around 4.00pm, leaving him dead on the spot.
