RAJSHAHI: Police detained 48 people including a Shibir man during separate drives in different areas of the town from Tuesday (January 10) to Wednesday (January 11).

Rajshahi Metropolitan Police spokesperson senior assistant commissioner Ifte Khayer Alam confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

The shibir man Dipu, 28, was detained from Motihar area,

The law enforcers detained 12 from Boalia Model Thana, 14 from Rajpara, 17 from Motihar, two from Shah Makhdum areas. The DB police also detained two persons.

They were sent to jail through court in the afternoon, the Ifte Khayer Alam added.
