NILPHAMARI: Police arrested 17 charge-sheeted persons including a Jamaat-e-Islami leader from different areas of the district.

The law enforcers have conducting the drives from Friday night (January 13) to Saturday morning (January 14).

Nilphamari additional superintendent of police (SP) Abu Maruf Hossain confirmed the matter told Banglanews.

One of arrestees is Dimla Upazila Jamaat Secretary Shaiful Islam, 44, was arrested from Jhunagach village of the upazila.

Moreover, seven people held from from Joldhaka, three from Domar, three from Sadar, two from Saidpur and one from Kishoreganj upazilas.
