GAIBANDHA: Police, in an overnight drive, have detained 51 people including four Jamaat-e-Islami activists from different areas of the district on Friday (January 27).

District Police control-room operator Asaduzzaman Asad told Banglanews that the detainees were wanted in many cases including sabotage, theft, hijacking, robbery and drugs. 

Sundarganj Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Atiar Rahman told Banglanews that four Jamaat activists were accused in sabotage case. 

After questioning, they will be sent to jail through the court within noon, he added.
