DHAKA: A city court on Monday (January 30) has fixed February 2 to hear the statement of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
The BNP chief also asked to appear before the court on the same day.
The third Special Judge Abu Ahmed Jamader of the Bakshibazar makeshift court passed the order.
Earlier, the court denied the plea of Khaleda Zia to reinvestigate the case.
Earlier on January 26, the court ordered the BNP chairperson to appear before the court on Monday adding that it, otherwise, would cancel her bail.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case on July 3, 2008, with Ramna Police Station accusing Khaleda Zia, her eldest son Tarique Rahman and four others for misappropriating over Tk 2.10 crore which came as grants from a foreign bank for orphans.
