THAKURGAON: BNP on Saturday extended support to the half-day hartal called by Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) and Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (BASAD) in Dhaka for February 28 (Tuesday) in protest of gas tariff hike.

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said this price hike will affect people and economy of the country badly.

He extended the support before participating in the Munajat of Ijtema in Gobindanagar upazila of Thakurgaon district.

He further said the prices of the daily necessary products are hiking continuously but not the income. Moreover, the insensible decisions by the government are creating more sufferings of the people.

This is why BNP decided to extend its support to the hartal called by CPB and BASAD.
