NOAKHALI: A local Awami League leader was shot dead in an attack by miscreants at Sadar upazila in Noakhali early hours on Sunday (March 05).  

The deceased was identified as Abul Hashem, 45, president of ward No-1 of Undarchar union unit of the ruling party.

After incident of the attack, Abul Hashem was taken to the Noakhali General Hospital where on duty doctors declared him dead.

Anwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sudharam police station, told Banglanews that police recovered the body and took it to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
