DHAKA: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that BNP is the main patron of extremism and other communal evil forces in Bangladesh.

He made the remarks in a program organized on the occasion of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth anniversary at Bakultala in Dhaka University on Friday (March 17).

Mentioning militancy as a political evil, Quader said that it will be treated politically. He also said, "BNP opposes any drive related to the anti-terrorism and patronizes militancy and religious extremism."
