TANGAIL: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained two alleged members of an extremist organization from Daina area in Tangail Sadar upazila on Saturday (April 1).

The arrestees were identified as Md Sobhan, hails from Kathua Jugni village and Joynal from Daina Uttor Para.

A foreign made seven-point pistol and a magazine were recovered from their possession.    

Beena Rani Das, company commander of Rab-12 informed Banglanews that tipped off, Md Sobhan was detained from Kathua Jugni village at 9pm. 

Based on Sobhan’s information, Joynal was held from his residence. A foreign pistol was recovered from a land adjacent to the house, she added.
