DHAKA: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that they would forge anti-government movement soon, and it will now be successful under the newly announced committees of the two units of Dhaka city.
The BNP leader said this while responding to a question of journalists at a press conference at the party’s Nayapaltan central office in the city on Wednesday (April 19).
Mirza Fakhrul said that the newly announced committees of the Dhaka city have importance in the current situation. The dedicated and tested leaders were included in the committees. The youth leaders will get priorities in the rest posts of the committees, he added.
He alleged that the government is hatching conspiracy against the BNP. The conspiracy will be foiled, he said.
The BNP leader came down heavily on the government over the arrest warrant issued against Comilla’s newly-elected mayor Monirul Haque Sakku. The case has been filed being politically motivated, he alleged.
