DHAKA: Ruling Awami League will start its preparation for 11th national parliament election through the extended party meeting to be held on Saturday (May 20), said its secretary general Obaidul Quader.
Quader said this while speaking at a newsreel exhibition and discussion marking the Prime Minister also AL President Sheikh Hasina’s Homecoming Day on Friday (May 19).
Bangladesh Awami Jubo League, the youth front of Awami League, organized the program in the city’s Shilpakala Academy auditorium.
Attending the program as chief guest, Quader said, “The campaign for collecting members for Awami League is going to be start. The party will be cleared from sycophants through the move. Everyone should be alert to prevent intruders from entering the party. Everyone should abide by the rules and policies in terms of renewing membership and collecting fresh members.”
However, Road Transport and Bridges minister Obaidul Quader in his speech further hailed Sheikh Hasina’s contribution for the welfare of the country.
