Hasina did not surrender to anybody but Allah: Obaidul Quader

NARAYANGANJ: Awami League’s general secretary Obaidul Quader has commented that Prime Minsiter Sheikh Hasina did not surrender to anybody except Almighty Allah.

He made the comment while talking to journalists during his visit at Kanchpur in Narayanganj on Saturday (May 27). He visited there to monitor the eastern side of the Kanchpur Bridge.

Obaidul Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said that Sheikh Hasina could hold the trail of war criminals after the death of Bangabandhu due to her boldness.

About the holy month of Ramadan and the traffic jam, he said that they have the preparation to face traffic jam in the holy month. The government has taken various initiatives to ease the sufferings on the roads and highways ahead of the Eid, he said.

He requested the transport owners not to ply their vehicles which have no fitness certificate.

The minister said, “We have not question about sculpture. But we are against the location of the sculpture which had been erected on the premised of Supreme Court.  Sheikh Hasina said that the sculpture was erected in such a place where Eid congregation is held. So the PM questioned the position of the statute. We are not against the statues erected in other parts of the country.”
