DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has visited in front the Gulshan residence of her party’s standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed from where he was evicted following the residence was declared occupied illegally.
The BNP chief went there on her way to residence after joining Iftar party of the Association of Engineers’ Bangaldesh (AEB) held at the International Convention Centre Bashundhara (ICCB) in the city.
Khaleda Zia reached the plot no.159 in Gulshan-2 at about 8:00 pm. Moudud Ahmed earlier took position in front of the residence.
The BNP chief stayed there for sometime and conveyed sympathy to the senior leader of her party.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also attended at the time. He said that Moudud Ahmed was dragged out from his residence vindictively.
He said that the government did not follow the legal process when Moudud Ahmed was evicted from the residence.
