BCL man shot dead in Sylhet college room

SYLHET: A member of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was shot dead apparently by other members of the student wing of the ruling Awami League over internal feud in Sylhet on Monday (July 17).

The dead, Litu Ahmed, 28, is a former leader of Sylhet district unit of BCL and supporter of Pavel group. He is son of Khalilur Rahman of Khasa Panditpara of Beanibazar upazila in Sylhet.

Litu was found dead in a room at Beanibazar Government College at Beanibazar upazila.

The sound of bullet was heard from the new building of the college at about 1:00 pm. Later, Litu was found dead in a room of the building.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Beanibazar police station Chandan Kumar Chakrabarty confirmed the matter to the Banglanews
