DHAKA: The High Court granted interim bail to BNP Chief Khaleda Zia’s advisor Joynal Abdin Farooque in four sabotage cases.

An HC bench of Justices Mohammad Miftah Uddin Chowdhury and ANM Bashir Ullah passed the order on Tuesday (July 18). 

The cases were filed against Farooque and other BNP leaders with Paltan Police Station on charge of vandalism and arson attacks during strike-blockade in 2015.

On July 2 this year, he surrendered to a lower court in Dhaka while he was sent to jail later in the same day.
