DHAKA: After three consecutive years of deflation, BNP is observing a surplus in its party fund, says a recent financial report submitted to Election commission.

BNP joint general secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi submitted the audit report of income and expenditure of the party fund to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda at EC office on Monday (July 31).

Rizvi told reporters that a total of Tk 4,13,68,730 has been earned from the party men’s subscriptions and donation in 2016. On the other hand, Tk 3,99,63,000 has been spent over meetings, seminars and salaries for office employees. So in this account, the surplus is Tk 1,4,05,730.
