JHENAIDAH: Miscreants hacked a leader of Swechhasebok League, a wing of the ruling party, to death at Arabpur area of Jhenaidah town Sunday (August 6).

The deceased was identified as Firoz Ahmed, 30, an activist of Swecchasebok League and son of one Ansar Ali in Chanpara area.  

Locals said that a group of miscreants left Firoz battered after stabbing inhumanly when he was en route to the town from his home.

He was rushed to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital where on-duty physicians declared him dead.  

Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) M Emdadul Haque told Banglanews that legal procedure will be followed over the incident.
